Hardware selection assistance
« on: December 24, 2014, 12:32:09 PM »
I have had a request to provide remote LED activation for a theatre play.
The director wants to be able to turn on LEDs or pixels on several costumes at the same time during the performance.

Would like input from anyone as to what WiFi controlled devices to select.

The little 12vdc infrared remotes that come with many dumb rgb strips might work. Lower tech, but much cheaper.

I probably have some laying around.

Still looking for options.
Scenario.
Theater production of Cinderella.
Director wants to be able to activate white strip lights on several costumes at once at the same time.
The light strips need to be able to be sewn into the costume obviously.
Have looked briefly at EL wire.
Any links to suggested hardware would be appreciated
