Note to everyone using the program to actually sequence for this coming season.  I'm not sure everyone picked up on two of the bugs that I fixed recently but there were mistakes on the V3 conversion so you really should start with your original V3 XML files and re-convert them.  If you've already started and don't want to go backwards then you'll need to fix them manually.

Here's the two problems:
1)  All the end times for the last effect were being set to zero.  This caused the last effect to be drawn all the way across the screen backwards.  In the new way we are rendering the colorwash it will be apparent because you will see the background drawn all the way across the grid.  So even though it will look like a bug its not a bug with the currernt software its a bug with how the file was originally imported from V3.  The only manual fix is to manually edit the XML file or delete the last effect and recreate it in the GUI.

2)  We had search/replace routines that attempted to fix ID changes that have occurred as the program has changed.  One of these replacements caused all instances of "E1" and "E2" to be replaced with "E".  That worked in most cases except for the hexadecimal color palette values.  So if you had color palettes you were using that had those characters then the color did not import properly.  The only fix is to reimport the original V3 XML since we've fixed the bug, manually correct the values in the XML file, or reselect your colors using the color palette buttons.

Thanks,
Gil

Thanks Gil;

we should also mention that any V3 sequence that was opened and converted to V4, has an automatic copy made in the subdirectory "ArchiveV3"

so copy from there back to your show directory.

You also should have made a complete backup of your last years sequences someplace else before starting to use XL 4
