Nutcracker and previes windows do not agree

I was tweaking some sequences  effects I noticed a difference between the nutcracker effects window and the preview window.  I have a 16 channel, 180 degree mega tree model.  The nutcracker effects window shows the full rgb image for the effect, but the preview window only shows the left edge.  I have saved the sequence after making effect changes.    This problem occurs a number of times in the sequence where I seem to get a cluster of strings on the left side of the tree that do not show on the nutcracker window.
I have attached a couple of pics to try and show he problem.

What your seeing is common when Tweaking / Adjusting the times of an added Effect.
You get "left overs" in the XSEQ file.

Right now, to clear residual or left over data like you're seeing, you need to use the "Color Wash - Black" to work as an eraser.

have you saved your sequence after modifying an effect before going to preview? remember that preview is not running effects , it is just showing the contents of the xseq file.

the nutcracker tab will show you changes as you make them. if you saved the file, try opening the file in the preview tab.

artifacts would occur if you change channels in a model. it could then require a colorwash of black in a cell to clean it out.

OK, I have to 'fess up...there was no problem with residual channel problems, but rather me addressing my arches wrong!!
I am still way down on the learning curve  Thanks so much for your assistance and patience.
