the ability to not stop or pause the display but take control over a model or fixture via laptop or cell phone app.

USE:
you have a sequence that has a spot where it might be nice to add a name to the mega tree, or other matrix WHILE THE SONG IS PLAYING.
that means that the insertion must be able to be ACTIVE FADE.

in stage terms, we have a scene or effect loaded in to the dimmer board, and while the show is running we can actively inject that stored scene into the live scene at will, either be fading in, strobe, or immediate.

but in this case, we can have a name or something stored and then at that point in the song, inject that stored data into the running song.

this ability is being added into the Falcon pi player. it has already been coded by capt murdoch. expect it in the next release in may of FPP

Any possibility of having this 'on the fly' change of your display on hardware NOT a Pi player? This year, I tentatively plan on still using my computer to run my show. It would be great to have Sally Sue and/or Johnny have their names appear on my Mega tree while Santa visits them. --Greg--
