If this was an annual event, I'd place this above the Academy and the Expo for my 2016 plans!

maybe another day (or another track) for developers interested in building, testing, and developing new effects and features.  ??

and what about a track for the artist-types to develop/collaborate on new sequences???

Just to be clear, I am not proposing these ideas for this year (2015).
You have already done too much this year amd this 2-day training is a fantastic offer.
I'm suggesting that a focused event for next year and beyond might be a first choice for many of us.
Between xlights/nutcracker falcon-player/falcon-controllers there is definitely enough meat on the bones for us to feast!

I think the upcoming 2015 shows will demonstrate the creative types among us.   (its not me... lol!)

yep, we were asked by about a dozen people if we could do this when we were at the expo. People said 1 to 2 hours is just not enough time to learn it.
Next year, we will plan it out long before.
If we dont get enough people to justify doing it this year, we will just wait until next year.

Long way from central Fl. I am sure I would get a lot out of the trip. I am already feeling I am behind on my new sequences and I have continuing education to do for my day job. So I am in the camp of Paying for the videos would work for me this year.

I will make a decision by August 7th. I go on 1 wk vacation leaving tomorrow to Yellowstone. I'll review these threads when I get back. If I don't hold the seminar I'll probably make the video series and the user manual.

As a new user of xlights I am excited for the opportunity.  This weekend works great for me. 1 earlier is not good plus 1 week is good but Christmas is closing in quickly.

I really hope this happens.Some of us couldn't make it to the expo and this would be awesome for people switching to xlights from other sequencers.

I would be willing to host something like this in Canada, as long as we could get some interest, with the dollar the way it is now not many trips planned for the states, how many guys have b to Medicine Hat Alberta? nice in the summer. I wouldn't do anything this year, but next year is a different story.
