Select one or more models in your sequence right click and select 'create random effects'. Select as many or as few timing cells as you want.

I have 4.2.16, it only shows the following in the right-click menu:
  • Insert Layer Above
  • Insert Layer Below
  • Play Model
  • Export Model
  • Render and Export Model
  • Toggle Nodes
  • Promote Node Effects
  • Edit Display Elements

You need to right click in the sequencing grid after you select your cells, not the model names column.

Not sure if this has been discussed or raised before, but the ON effect has a lock icon in it, but the sub parts of that do not. Specifically I'd like to not have a shimmer but have random colours between red and green. Is there any way to lock out the shimmer sub option currently?

We don't really have the auto generate stuff worked out.  I don't think the lock icons are even used right now.

It looks like the create random effects respects some of the lock icons currently...I can probably work around it, worst case for me for now it its cut and paste to get what I want to happen. I may look at the code for some fun - it's been a while since I looked at it at all - it will give me an excuse to not spend another night sequencing which I really should be doing :)
