Can the pi or a computer stream audio thru a wireless router?
« on: October 20, 2015, 08:57:59 AM »
This may have been asked and answered before:

I'd like to stream the show audio so folks walking around my display could log into a wireless lan and hear the music. I can run my show either with the pi or thru several other computers (win and Mac)

Can this be done?  If so how

This comes up from time to time and the consensus is that the lag with streaming audio would be enough of a deterrent.

Figured that might be a problem. Thought I'd give it a shot. Blue tooth?

I think Bluetooth would be a problem with syncing devices and usually you can only sync 1 device with each transmitter.

Would speakers and/or fm transmitter not work for your setup?
