More colours?
« on: November 10, 2015, 01:44:37 PM »
Hi
Very new to all this' last year I used my 8 x 50 LED strings (WS2811S) to form a Christmas tree (25 cx 16 matrix). Now I have  Xlights and the first thing I notice is the colour (yes I am in the UK)  pallet is only R B G W B is there any way of having extra colour control (cyan Magenta etc.).
Many thanks
Paul

Double Click on the colored box and change them to anything you want.  pg 104 in the user manual.

If you double click on the colored box, it will open up a palette and u can then replace that color with any other one .

:)  :)

Actually I am quite heartened with the number of references to the manual.  Also the number of posts that I bookmark/capture for subsequent adding to the manual is getting less and less.

Paul,

Welcome to the NC forum.

This is no bother at all!! Ask any question you want. Everyone here is awesome! They just recently released the manual and revise it regularly. It is a GREAT reference, but other questions will arise!

Not at all. Do ask questions ! We were just joking about the fact that the manual had been referenced ! Are you part of the facebook group ? Questions are posted there as well

Yeah now that we have a manual we like to advertise it.  You know I seem to come up with nicknames in my head for people's profile names.  Yours inspired "pyromaniac phil". ;)

Hi all

No offense taken a wonderful manual is now printed out and sitting at my right hand.
Almost right on my profile name PHLPYRO. Paul H Lunnon and I am a pyrotechinician here in the UK last show of a busy season this Saturday (in the rain).
I have nearly finished construction of my 20ft. Christmas tree using a matrix of 25 x 16 LED's (WS2811) last year it was run with the supplied controller this year I wanted to do more. Awaiting hardware (E682 controer) from seasonalentertainment.
I am impressed with Nutcracker and cant wait to find time to explore further.
Best wishes to you all.
Paul (Phlpyro).

Hi Paul
Fellow Brit here..

Funny you should ask...I'll just say it starts with "Steamy rotten...."

So I figured maybe it means something where your from so I just googled your profile name and came across this definition:  http://www.thefreedictionary.com/rotter

"Rotter"
1. Brit. a worthless, unpleasant, or despicable person

BTW...where's our friend "Kermit the Phrog"....lol
