Can't Count
« on: November 25, 2015, 04:25:22 AM »
Hi,

I have found a problem with my setup due to calculating the incorrect number of pixels I was using for one of my lights in my show. Set up the model to have 144 pixels when the real number is 88.

My question is will Xlights update all of the sequences when I change the amount of pixels in the model? Will all the effects update themselves?

Thanks in advance,

Zepan

You will have to open up each sequence and re-render the file for changes in your model(s) to take effect.  I don't believe that the effects themselves care about the number of pixels in a model, as they scale up or down to fit your model set up.

I've had similar mistakes on my part even just this week as I put things up and test elements.  The beauty of nutcracker is that you can fix the models and just re-render.  In case I delete the old/bad fseq files just to be sure that I am getting all correct data.

As Jim said , I too always delete the fseq files when changing anything to do with the model or setup prior to resave.

Probably unnecessary and an overkill... but it only take a sec and saves wondering..
