However when opening the AUP Project file you need to have its associated _data folder with the same name as the AUP file present in the same folder.

I don't think we can use the project file without the _data folder.

the _data folder is like 58 files 4 layers deep and they are in an .au format.  There's a compressed project file (.ogg) but forum won't take that.

So here's what I did.  I clipped Logan's audio from his video.  I took the first 30ish seconds and then added the original Mecco song.  I then trimmed bits and pieces out of the Mecco song to get down to the timeframe I wanted.

I am a newbie with this. I am running LOR, so I would take this and import it into LOR. First is that possible after working it up to fit my setup in xlights. Second before I do that... what do I need to copy over into my rgb_effects to make it work? Did that with one model, but am not sure what to do in order to make it work for my house.

I don't know what's still in there but this post had a dropbox link that used to contain everything you needed.  This particular post though was an edit to that sequence cutting out the funk part of the remix.
