« on: January 26, 2016, 07:01:16 AM »
Hi  :)

just getting started in Nutcracker / Xlights all help very much appreciated

I'm using 12v WS2811 pixel strip addressable led 5050 SMD 5m 150 leds
I have been told that every 3 RGB is one pixel and this would have 50 pixels in total?

I'm a little uncertain on the layout page

I Have 12 strings all controlled on separate outputs

On the layout page i'm a little uncertain :(

Type of string which to put in & Nodes per string

please could I have some help

thank you

B

Yes use "12" strings and "50" nodes per string for that model which I'm assuming is a tree model.  Under the model type I forget the exact name but one of them is perfect for those strips.  It might be called Ribbon Tree.  If you get the right one we display it to look more like a ribbon with 3 leds per pixel instead of a bullet node look.

Gilrock

thankyou very much for the information I have already tried it out and the model tree view looks great,
would you know which type of string to put in the model layout is it rgb 3 channel or rgb nodes?

thankyou again
