Help with 'DMX' effect
« on: February 03, 2016, 01:29:29 PM »
Just started trying to setup some moving heads. I built models as Custom, Single Color, 16 wide. I named the Nodes with the channel labels. I can drop an "ON" effect with % value's on each channel in Sequence timing grid and it works.
I'd assumed that I could drop the 'DMX' effect on the model with the max 15 channel selected, and it would control the first 15 of the 16 channels. Doesn't seem to want to work for me.
I'm sure (since I'm a newbie here) that I've missed something. Ideas?

It won't work with Single color nodes for the model definition.  I keep telling everyone to use RGB nodes so make it 5 RGB nodes which will create 15 channels of data.

Thanks! I probably should have done a search in the forum. Google brought up several links, but not that...
