Good Afternoon!

We are planning an intense Nutcracker Session on Friday afternoon May 13th, that’s the Friday before Light Up Ohio, which is on the 14th. If you are interested in attending, do let us know as we are in the process of locating a facility and knowing roughly how many people to expect will be a big help!

Hi Tom,
Happy you are planning on attending.  We will be posting more info as we get things confirmed. There are going to be some new things going on at our event, and as always, there will be some surprises.  Jeff will add you to the email list, and we will also be posting on all of the forums, and of course, Facebook.  If you are on Facebook, you might want to join the LUO Café Group for updates.  Can't wait until May.

Bill

It's finally coming together.  The 10th Annual Light Up Ohio is well on it's way to be the biggest and best ever.
We have just secured a venue to have our first ever, all day Education session on Friday May 13th  from 11am to 5pm.  We are excited to have Richard Renn teaching us the ins and outs of Xlights/Nutcracker, in an exciting presentation.  Bring your laptops because Richard will take us through, start to finish, setting up our own sequence in this exciting, ever changing, software. You will walk away with your very own sequence, that you created, and the knowledge to take your display to a higher level.
Of course, this is just the beginning.  In the next couple of weeks, we will be announcing lots of events that will be going on at Light Up Ohio 2016.  Registration will be opening up this weekend, so watch for the announcement.  We hope to see you at Light Up Ohio 2016, May 13-14 in Westerville, Ohio.

I'm not sure about you, but for me, part of the thrill of doing what we do is the satisfaction I get out of the DIY side of this hobby.  It relaxes me, it's a jolt of pride when I can bring my projects to life, and they "Make Memories" for so many people.
We are very proud to Welcome one of the true Guru's of the DIY world, David Jones, to Light Up Ohio 2016.  David has shared his wealth of knowledge to the Holiday Lighting world for several years, and he has brought some of that knowledge to Light Up Ohio in the past. For Light Up Ohio 2016, David will show us "How to run our displays with $2 worth of WIFI technology without a Pixel Controller".  Now, who wouldn't want to save a little money?
Come to Light Up Ohio 2016 on May 13-14, and meet David and lots of other Holiday lighting enthusiasts. We will be sharing ideas and having lots of fun.  Registration is open now!!!!  http://light-up-ohio.whindo.com/event/default.aspx?lock=2441954-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0&key=3a59b151de6f3b9

Everybody is different in the type of Holiday Display they prefer. There are Pixel Displays, Static Displays, Traditional Display, Elegant Display, RGB Displays, etc.  What type do you like?  We plan to talk about all of them at Light Up Ohio 2016.
One of the Holiday Displays that I have always liked is done by Jeff Phillips. To me, it is not the number of lights you have, but how you organize them.  One of the most  beautiful and organized displays I have ever seen, is Jeff's. Just by looking at it, you can tell he has spent a lot of time in planning, and his organization skills are second to none. Jeff will be doing a presentation at Light Up Ohio 2016, taking us from start to finish, and showing us how he plans and creates this beautiful display.
Come to Light Up Ohio on May 13-14 and meet Jeff, plus lots of other Lighting Enthusiasts.  REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW!!!!

Light Up Ohio is proud to Welcome Rob Mudryk to our 2016 event.  Rob will be talking about implementing Laser/Graphic Effects into your display.  He has been doing Laser Shows since the 1990's, including Roger Waters' Dark Side of the Moon Tour.  He also works on the Crew that does the Cleveland Indians Fireworks.  Rob is a Licensed Flame & Pyrotechnician  in Ohio.  He was recently in Vegas fixing the Lasers for the show "Rock Vault" at the Tropicana.  Rob has heard of Light Up Ohio's excellent reputation of always having talented attendees, along with his electrician, hoping some of us could help him with the logistics of controlling over 1 mile of Store Front Lights.
Please join us at Light Up Ohio 2016, to meet Rob and his electrician, along with many other Lighting Enthusiasts.  REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW!!  May 13-14.  Visit Facebook:  Light Up Ohio, or LUO Cafe.

Light Up Ohio 2016 would like to "Welcome" Boscoyo Studios as a sponsor to our event.  Boscoyo Studios has everything you need to mount, and display, all of your Pixels and P10 panels.  They also have a lot of unique props, you can simply add your Pixels to, and some of them are already mapped out for you in Xlights.  A great vendor with great products.
All attendees at Light Up Ohio 2016 will receive a " Special Code", for 15% off anything in their store. This "Code" will be good from May 13th - May 22nd.  They have also sent lots of very nice door prizes.
