P10 panels:
PRO. 16x32 panel $11. Each node is about $0.02. This is more than ten times cheaper than our normal nodes.
You get 10mm spacing between nodes, this allows movie clips to look very good.
CON: Uses up channels very fast. 16x32=512 nodes or 1536 channels. When people say they have a 5x4 P10 they mean 5x4 panels or 30,720 channels. This would also be 5 panels vertically at 16 pixels per panel or 80 nodes, horizontally 32*4 = 128
So 5x4 panel P10 is 80x128 node matrix.
5x4 = 800mm x 1280mm. So those 30,720 pixels will display on a 31.5" x 50.4" display.
That is not very large. When people made their matrixes out of nodes that were 3" spacing this same panel would be 80*3" x 128*3" or 20' high by 32' wide. BTW, at $0.25 per ws2811 node this matrix would cost $2560 vs the same amount of P10 pixels which would cost $220.
