Setting up CCR's in Xlights off of a Falcon16 v2
« on: August 12, 2016, 04:10:20 PM »
I have not had much luck setting up LOR CCR's in DMX mode off of a Falcon 16 v2. I have 4 CCR's (Unit 7,8,9, 0A). I have set the falcon firmware for DMX out of DMX1. Use a net cable to LOR crossover to CTB16. Net cable to CCR 7. Net cable to CCR8 and so on. Setup Xlights with Universe 1 for LOR. Setup model for the CTB16 (16 single channels) (Everything OK). Set up first CCR (Unit7) on dmx address 97. That did not work. Tried address 113, and ok. Now here is the hard part. I cannot find where the set the next dmx address for CCR unit 8. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas!!! LOR manual for CR150 ccr on page 33, Appendix A: Lor unit id 1=dmx1, lor unit 7=dmx 97, lor unit 8=dmx 113. Not sure how you get 150 channels of dmx out of this setting.
Thanks Bill

So I don't get why unit 7 was not working on channel 97.  But lets assume it did.  You cannot place another CCR assigned as unit 8 because you need a 150 and possibly 157 channel gap before the next CCR.  You will sometimes have a small channel gap cause you gotta find the next unit number that gets you past the first CCR.  It will probably be unit 0x10 which LOR probably calls 10 but it's a hex number so it's 16.  That puts you well past channel 254 where the first CCR ends.  You won't fit all those CCR's on one output.
