Another long night of banging my head against the desk. For the life of me I can't get my new elements to work with last years sequences. I first attempted to re number all the channels of my entire display to help with organizing but once rendered nothing played correctly as it did last year. So I when back to a backup file from Nov of last year and just added the new rgb props after the original rgb porps. I completed laying out all 92,000 channels and setting up the 190 universes. No overlapping channels, etc. All the number look correct so added them to my master view and added them to the sequence. I opened up a file that played fine prior to the changes. The majority of the sequence plays fine but the whole house swips and the like don't follow correctly. Instead of left to right, for example, some go up and down, some down and up, some right to left. I didn't have this issue before. Any ideas as to why I'm getting these issues? I really want to start some new songs for this year but this has held me up for a few weeks now. Thanks Rob

When you open up the old file you need to re-render it to get your channel changes to take effect.

I did that with my first attempt when I re numbered all the elements. But it still played wrong with effects playing on the wrong element. It wasn't close.  So I then tried using the old sequences and model layout from last year and only added the new RGB stuff, keeping all the previous channels the same. It's now alot closer but. Any time the sequence plays a house display swipe. Each element does its own thing. Some go up and down other left to right, etc... Look kind of cool but definitely not correct. Each new element does work individually tho. Even the butterfly effect does not play over the entire display. It's all broken up going in different directions.

I apply the effect for a while display swipe to a group call "all pixels" located at the top of my elements list. It worked fine last season, is that proper way to do it?

Are you using a Model Group or is it one of the old style Whole House Models?  If the latter you need to delete it and recreate the group as a model group.

Its set up as a group model called "all pixels" and inside it I have every RGB element listed. Last year it played fine using this way and it was still good before I added these elements

I don't believe a Butterfly is not showing up correctly on a model group unless you've changed the Render Buffer Style for the effect.  Is it on "Default"?

You're gonna have to post a sample sequence and the rgbeffects file if you can't figure it out yourself.

Yes its set to default, but I did find a fix. If I click on the effect and change default to per preview the effects work properly. I have to go through every effect that's in my "All Pixel" sequence and change it from default to "per preview". Also if I add an effect it has to be set to "pre preview". Not sure why this has to be done but it seems to be working.

Well that just means you could have changed the default render buffer under the model settings. :)

Is there a setting that I should change once I get these songs from last year in order?

Look at the model group properties and see what it's set to.  If you make it "Grid as per preview" then every effect that was "Default" would have worked the same as setting it to "Per Preview" for render style.
