singing faces?
« on: September 20, 2014, 09:36:00 PM »
my apologies if this seems like a dumb question to some, but where do I start? I would like to put singing faces in my mega tree. I see the papagayo(in development) tab in xlights. is it ready to use? do I start in papagayo and set it up first, then load into xlights? is there a tutorial covering the topic? thanks in advance

The Papagayo tab is not ready for prime time yet according to Sean.

Sean said at his last weekly tutorial session that by next week that the tab will be functional to the point that it will be usable with Holiday coro type faces at least.

He further announced that the next weekly onlilne training meeting will cover what is functionally usable with the Papagayo tab. The announcements are always posted in his facebook group and most of the Christmas forums. Keep an eye out for that announcement.

I am working it. The code for making faces on a megatree is done. In this last release I temporarily hard coded to option 2, coro faces.
1) auto faces on megatree,matrix
2) coro faces
3) u provide 10 images of an object with the 10 phonemes

4) we create a mp4 , high resolution movie for your projector.

1) is done, I am working on 2)

I will show how to do 2) using its ebb software this next week

Really looking forward to 2. I've been doing Papagayo->ItsMeBobO->LOR->XLights->FPP! It will sure be nice to drop a few of those steps! Especially since I do most of my sequencing in LSP. Hoping to be able to switch to doing most sequencing in NC/XL.
