Group order question - do I have this right?
« on: November 25, 2016, 08:17:18 AM »
I need to clarify something.

In my sequence I want to have a set of 4 props that blink to the beats all the way through the song.  However I want to interrupt this with other effects.  That is replacing the blinking to the beat with the new effect for that time for just short bursts of time.

Do I just create a group called BeatBlink with those 4 items.  Then above that group place a new group called BeatOverride with the same 4 items.

Then I can place the beat blinking effects across the BeatBlink group.  Then when I want to override just put something on the BeatOverride group and lose the blinking to the beat for that time?

Do I have that right?

Thanks!

Jason

Effects render top to bottom, based on the Master View.  Place your "override" group anywhere below the first group and it should overwrite the data.

Top to bottom.  Got it.  I have it backwards then in my head.

Just when you think you have it you will realise layers on a model/group render the opposite way. Bottom to top.
