pictures not moving with the sequence
« on: December 13, 2016, 05:21:40 PM »
I fished a sequence that has several pictures in the sequence saved it to a thumb drive for transfer to the show computer. Once on the show computer there are no pictures in the sequence. I had this happen to a super star sequence I converted. the effects are there and the picture icon is in the sequence. but no picture.
I guess the (gif) pictures do not save in the file. just record the place to find the picture file?

AFAIK The xml file contains a pointer to the image file.  the fseq file has the image embedded in them.

OK how do I get it to play with the pictures.  Tell x-lights to play the fscq file not the xml file?

Just transfer the fseq file. Your picture will be imbedded there.

the pictures did not appear until I transferred them to the show computer and put them in the same  named file. The pictures did not save in the fscq file.

Not sure. My images are on my sequence computer. I render and save to drop box where my show computer plays. I'm playing through scheduler.

Yes you need to bring the pictures with the sequence when you copy over files.

But an fseq file does contain the data if you rendered it.  That file you can take anywhere and play it.  But don't try to open the fseq file it only good for playing.

In the end it sequence does not look very good when played in the display. I am kinda of disappointed.  I have a 28 strings  60 led  270 deg. tree, and I don't have the tree strips close enough to get decent resolution so the pictures look like water color blobs moving across the tree. It looks great on the whole house display in x-lights. It might be better if it was displayed  on a matrix. I might try a readjustment on the tree today.

If it was me I would  change the physical tree to a 180 degree tree.
I have a 270 degree tree but I have 36 strips with 56 pixels each and I think it's on the borderline
