Effect time length
« on: February 07, 2017, 09:00:14 AM »
Is it possible to somewhere show how long an effect is running with in a sequence.  For instance, you select an effect in the sequence and xlights says the effect is running for 2 seconds.  This would allow me to give it the  correct time length when layer blending.

The reason I'm asking, I'm about halfway through working on a sequence and suddenly saving is taking a little over a minute.  I ran a sequence check a found I had 435 errors because the fade outs were .2 seconds greater than the time that the effects are (lots of copy and pasting).

I went back and fixed it but I'm still having having problems with long render times.  I'm working on figuring that out.

When you hover over an effect there is info displayed at the bottom on the status bar.

Your fadeouts are not causing the slow render times. To understand what is causing that try doing a render then opening the log file and scrolling to the bottom and then moving back up. Any really slow rendering frames are logged.
