Ok so i have my board all set in an inclosure already and it goes from the board to the wall of the inclosure then i used sum connection to make it water tight...then it comes out from the outside to the computer.  So i was thinkn start with the ez stuff and work my way up.  I took the connection off the enclosure and went straight to the computer and wala!  We got connection!!  So its computer USB port out to the jumper.. The CAT5 straight to the board.   No router was used.  If the didn't work i was gonna go the router way.    Glad the EZ way workd.  Now I'm watching YOUTUBE vids on how to get the board working.  Lol

I setup my enclosures with a 1 inch hole in the bottom where I bring in my CAT 5 cables. Once the cables inside the box it's weather-tight and I have one less point of failure. And in my experience no matter how much you think a Box like that is weather tight something always happens and it's a good idea to provide a drain hole in the bottom for extra insurance.

On a good note.  I got my board configured.  All the ports are working and now i can sequence my little heart away!!  Lol. But thanks for getn me on the right path.

WTF are those pictures for?  I still don't see what a USB port has to do with talking to a Falcon from a PC.

Ohhh...  See that's where I'm losing yall.    I bought this little adapter at a computer store.  Its USB to CAT5.   CAT5 out of yhr falcon..into adapter...out USB into the computer.

Those pictures were to help clarify visually.  The way he was talking he could have been referring to his ethernet connection on his computer as the USB port.

Hey thx. I just signed up to that ACL.  Said im waiting for approval.  I'll dwnload it and read it for sure. 
While yall are here... How difficult is it to share and or recieve sequences?  On the forum i see a subject line "shared sequences"   i like that one that i saw so just askn.
