Power Injection
« on: October 27, 2018, 09:05:33 AM »
Hello

Trying to understand power injection.

Power injection for pixels, do I run the power at the end of my display back to the power supply as I have seen in a few diagrams. I believe I can use the same power supply that is powering the receiver for injection.  If I am running a 30A 12V PS, how many 50 nodes strings can I run?

Thanks in Advance

Find out how many Amps each node uses, then calculate.

this how I do it

  30amps times 12volts is 360watts
you never use more that 80% of the power supply
  360watts times 80% 288 watts
my bullets use .3 watts each
288watts divided .3 that means You could run 960 bullets on that power supply.
  now thats at 100% brightness

I like to inject power every 300 bullets.
