P10 Sub-Models and Text
« on: December 04, 2018, 01:25:38 PM »
I created 3 horizontal Sub-Models on my P10 matrix into thirds, 1 across the bottom, 1 in the middle, and one across the top. When I use the text affect, how do I assign which text goes to which Sub-Model? For example, text line 1 on the top, text line 2 in the middle, and text line 3 on the bottom.

Thanks,
Craig

You place the text effect on the submodel not on the model. Double click on the model name in the sequencer to see the submodels.

If you don't want to use submodels you could use the buffer and it has a convienent 1/3rd buffer option built in.  It has upper middle and bottom 1/3rds already defined.  I use those alot with my tune to sign where I put frequence, hours for the show, and the now playing info...

If you are like me and change your P10 layout or move the text between different P10s around your house or on different matrix, you don't have to have new submodels, just cut and paste and the text gets placed in the same 1/3rd regardless of size.

The option is in layer settings.  Right click on the buffer window to find the pre-defined buffers.
