Missing models in 3d previews
« on: July 05, 2019, 11:33:36 PM »
I have an interesting problem where all my trees, Mega and mini, do not show up on a preview even though they are marked as Al previews.

If you look at the all models preview in the atached files you will not see the various trees nor te sleigh and raindeer models on the preview, but if you switch to All, you will see them.  If I add my floodlights or verticals to all previews, the tress and such disappear.

I took a quick look.
I would suggest before you go any further that your run check sequence and fix all of the errors and warnings that are showing up.
There are a ton of warnings for model groups containing models from different previews.

I see the reindeer and sleigh just fine in the All Models preview.

Maybe you have video card driver issues.  Make sure you update to the latest driver version.

Running the current version of the video drivers, I have no other issues with other programs including 4k video editing.

Following up on your observation, I changed OpenGL to 1x/2x, the missing models showed up.

Well all because other programs work doesn't mean they are using more advanced OpenGL 3.x features.

Sorry I don't think I'll be able to help any further.  I'd say being Linux plays a part in the issue as well.
