Candle Models

If you have the Holiday coro candle elements do you separate out the body of the candle from the flame pixels or do you just custom model it all as one unit?

If I model it as one unit I don't see how to make the flame flicker and the body stay one color or vary differently?

last year i made 1 model for all the bodies. I made it as a vert matrix.
I made a second model for all the flames.

This year, i will probably use custom and make one model so i can draw them in a whole house preview. This means i will not have the flames doing separate things. If i get the time, i will work on getting two models

I am thinking a custom model for the body and a custom model for the top. Since you can group models sequencing can be accomplished in several ways. I am thinking grouping the flames together then the bodies as another group. I'll see how that works.
