New setup with lor and renss24

Just to clarify, from computer to first LOR with a normal cable.  From LOR to Renard crossover.  Also, make sure the Renard has been flashed with the DMX code, otherwise it's not going to work.  Do all of your setup in Xlights until we get this worked out. Then move those settings to LOR software...I'm fuzzy on the software side.
 
What are the options other than RAW DMX?

I got busy this weekend and forgot to reply.

Thanks for the help as I did get it going. For some reason I forgot all about the control panel and enabling the show to have the LOR software communicate with the controller. Works like a charm when you do what you are supposed to do.

I did get a second dongle I purchased from Amazon last year working so I was able to get x lights to work both the lor and the renard controller by using two dongles and setting each one up in the setup phase. I did this as we were trying to figure out how to daisy chain things.

FYI if anyone does purchase a dongle from amazon, I did find out that the pinout is not the same as a lor. the Amazon dongle is Pin 1 data+, Pin 2 is Data - and Pin 8 is ground, so when I made a crossover cable from the Amazon dongle to the straight cat 5 cable that LOR uses it worked.

I have not had time now to go back and see if x lights picks up the daisy chain control properly but will try soon and let folks know.
