Crash - Unhandled exception
« on: April 02, 2021, 05:46:34 PM »
Ver 2021.10 64bit  March 31, 2021
not sure why it says Mar 31, when today is Apr 2

When renaming some folders I created for groups, I got a error.
A box with a red stop sign with white X, says the following

A unhandled exception occured. Press "Abort" to terminate the program,
"Retry" to exit the program normally and "Ignore" to
  Continue.
-sorry no screenshot, but this should be enough

Pressing any of the buttons will result in another boxed error. The only way to leave the program is through task manager - Highlight xLights and End Task. End task on Unhandled exception does nothing.

Using Win 7 Pro   I was renaming a folder called Outline Box Right to Lines Right, after just successfully changing another folder to Lines Left. This happened twice already. So its not a fluke.

After reopening xLights, and its asked if I wanted the newer file, i declined. And the did a package log file.

   - Hope this helps

Well, its not just the renaming. While copying with Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V, the second time, it also happened. Maybe with this log you can cross reference.

I also am getting this issue. I tried to clone a group and got the mentioned exception. When I click any button on the exception window (Abort, Retry or Ignore) the exception window closes and a new one immediately opens. The only way out appears to be to use the End Task stick.

For what it's worth, a screen snip of the window I get is attached.

I rolled back to 2021.08 and the problem does not occur for me on that version. Only 2021.10.
