Nutcracker 3.06.15 on Vista

Hello,
I loaded Nutcracker onto my Vista laptop which completed successfully. When I open the program the preview window is a very tiny square in the upper left corner where the normal size window should be.  Does anyone know what I'm missing?  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

The best clue is that you said laptop.  Laptops have small screens and Nutcracker in the 3.x versions  needs a fairly big screen.  Once you get to ver 4 it is possible to make the preview window a separate window.  What is the physical size of your laptop screen and what is resolution for the screen set to?  I suspect your best bet will be to hook it up to an external monitor for now and probably for later as well.

Thanks for the reply. However, the laptop screen is 17 inches with a resolution of 1280x720. The laptop is connected to a 21 inch external display.  I've installed this version on my Windows  laptop and it works fine. Any other suggestions?

A screenshot would help.  Are you talking about the preview window on the Preview tab or the one on the Nutcracker tab?  On the Preview tab there is a size.  What do you have that size set to?  I think mine is 1280 x 720.

The one on the Nutcracker tab. I've attached a pic. You'll notice the little black square in the upper left corner that should be much bigger.

Thanks to Ben Shaver over on the xLights facebook group for the answer. Just as an FYI, he suggested that I set the window to full screen size which he said would cause the nutcracker preview to adjust....and it did.

I can now see the entire preview screen even if I resize the window.
