« on: May 26, 2015, 04:39:07 PM »

When constructing this thing it seemed easier in my head

Nutcracker Models / model on a model question
« on: May 25, 2015, 05:42:14 PM »
I have a 12 spoke model that hangs 30 feet or so high in my display i set it as a matrix and looks great my question is I would like for it to light as a Bethlehem Star meaning only certain pixels come on the spokes to reveal a star.
is this possible.
Thanks Robin

Nutcracker Models / Re: Chinese Paper Lantern going RGB
« on: February 27, 2015, 06:16:51 PM »
Holispheres are for string lights giving only one color we checked on them and decided on what we considered a better route  last year we had smaller spheres with dumb pixels inside wow they were great this year wanted to incorporate a larger sphere with pixels set as a matrix giving it a show in its self..
always looking for something different  and a small tip, Chinese paper lanterns are cheap cheap $1.00
and really hold up also there are some that are more of a fabric design.. just sayin I will post a build
Thanks..

Nutcracker Models / Chinese Paper Lantern going RGB
« on: February 25, 2015, 08:54:06 PM »
Last year we had several balls hanging from our tree to no end could we find a economical way to pull it off then we came up with Chinese rice paper lanterns. We ordered in several at a cost of a buck a piece, inserted dumb pixels and a controller for 3.00 and WOW This year adding a larger one but have dded a frame and pixels now it works like a charm.. As for the paper we set out several lanterns for testing  to see how they hold up In West Texas weather can be hot rainy or cold for 4 months our test lanterns stayed outside no problems.. Just a cheap idea for major effects..

Xlights Setup / Dumb controller question
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:40:59 PM »
I have a E6804 with one plug running my dumb dmx controllers dm104 on a star of sort it has 12 rgb dumb strips in shape of a *  each leg has its own controller and each on is addressed starting with 101, 102, 103
then next one when in xlights i put the model starting in that universe of 1  at channel 101..
on test you have to ight channel 300 -400 to get them to light model is set to rgb 12 strings 1 channel per but nothing lights.. unless i open it to cover more channels. and its only 36 channels 3 per board riht
Thanks
