« on: November 26, 2014, 08:17:40 AM »
I have Xlights running on an XP computer -- anytime i go to save a project, i get an error - that xlights has stopped working.  The error indicates one of the wxmsw dll's -- Will xlights no longer work on windows xp?  is there a place i can update that dll?

Grid editor would be great -- but my question still remains -- is there a way to add a 10 section incandi arch? one string white each section?

Ok -- got most of this figured out -- but have been banging my head for 2 nights now on incandi archs.  i have 5 of them with 1 strings of white each so they have to cover 50 channels -- how do i set up a model for them in xlights?

Maybe I'm missing it, if so, please show me where, but i truly love sequencing in nutcracker, but i started out with Renard, and still have several controllers I use each year.  When i have to Copy from xlights to Vixen, to add my renard effects, i seem to be going WAY BACK.  Is there a way, or is it going to come out where in nutcracker, I can Turn on/off, dim, etc a renard channel?

Xlights Setup / another setup question - I'm confused
« on: August 24, 2014, 05:41:07 PM »
When setting up xlights for e1.31 devices, do i need to use the total possible output of each device?  Using an E6804, i am using 300 channels off of the first 2 outputs.  Do i need to allow for the other 2 outputs, in case i want to use them later, when the channels carry over to the modes, if i add the outputs latter, it messes up the channels that the models refer to.  if i go from using 300 channels on the first 2 outputs to 450, it changes the channels for the next e1.31.  I can change them as i go, but what is a best practices for doing this?
