Renard Sequenceing
« on: August 25, 2014, 06:58:55 PM »
Maybe I'm missing it, if so, please show me where, but i truly love sequencing in nutcracker, but i started out with Renard, and still have several controllers I use each year.  When i have to Copy from xlights to Vixen, to add my renard effects, i seem to be going WAY BACK.  Is there a way, or is it going to come out where in nutcracker, I can Turn on/off, dim, etc a renard channel?

you can do it now. define renard in the SETUP window as USB Renard.
Now build models to match your display elements, maybe you are using single channel G,W,R,B. Use a string type in the model other than RGB.

now the effects that do the fades are Colorwash pick the color that matches the string type, use RED for single color RED strings .etc.

Spirals will make chases.

We dont have a nice grid editor like the other sequences, but you can sequence non rgb. a grid editor (show every cell) was planned for this year but we ran out of time. it is planned for 2015

Ok -- got most of this figured out -- but have been banging my head for 2 nights now on incandi archs.  i have 5 of them with 1 strings of white each so they have to cover 50 channels -- how do i set up a model for them in xlights?

Grid editor would be great -- but my question still remains -- is there a way to add a 10 section incandi arch? one string white each section?

I have 16 3 color mini trees.  To make them chase I have a model (actually one per color) that is 16 strings using single color ??.  I specified 1 light per strand and although they are for the trees I used display as single strand, but you could call them arches, should work fine.  Each arch would be 10 strings with some number of lights per string just big enough to show up good on the preview. The number of lights does not have be exact because you are just making a single channel string, it would only affect the preview display size.
