I got your file via email, thanks.

Yes I do see that the source LMS file is configured for DMX and when you convert, it shows having 161 DMX channels, 48 with effects.   The converted file does play in Nutcracker and it does have 48 channels.

For fun, I did this:

1. Convert the Halloween LMS file to NC.  Got the 161 DMX Channels message.
2. Convert the newly created Halloween XML file to LOR as Halloween2.LMS
3. Convert the Halloween2.LMS file to NC.  The 161 DMX channel message is gone.

Does that now work on your lights?  I works on my E131 controller.

I might have to try that.  Nice to know that it's not the sequence and it may be a hardware thing.

You need a Fake LOR USB adapter configured when doing an LMS conversion.

I do not have, and have never had, an LOR USB adapter connected or configured when doing an LMS to XSEQ conversion.
I do not have any CCRs. My xLights setup is 100% E1.31.

When I tried the method suggested, I ended up with lots of error messages.  I swapped everything back.

What type of network is the LOR file configured for?  LOR or DMX?

can you send me the LMS file  ocjeepguy at gmail dot com

E1.31, multicast with 4 universes.  I can't figure out how to delete the other three at the moment.

That will work with non CCR sequences?

I can't find anything wrong with your LMS setup that should make xLights fail to convert them.

At this point, the only solution may be to "TeamViewer" onto your PC and look at your actual setup.
Have you ever used TeamViewer to watch Sean's demos?

David Pitts used Team viewer to look at my entire setup when I was trying to get my show to run under DMX for Halloween.  He couldn't find anything wrong then.  When I have the hardware and software guys looking at my setup and telling me it should work and it doesn't, then I get really confused.

Brain fart got it, your channels look okay did you export that channel config to your Lor sequnces

The DMX sequences that I was working on for Halloween had a similar configuration.  They had an additional 3 universes for various RGB and pixel items.  Since I couldn't get it to work together, I wanted to start from beginning and see what was wrong from the beginning.  I want to start with the LOR stuff first and then add universe after universe, fixing the problems as I go, until everything is talking to each other fully.  So, for now, every sequence will have the posted configuration.

I can scroll on both yours and mine.  The scroll bar is at the bottom of the photo.

It's listed as new channel.  I just never changed the label for it.  Scroll right to see where it says Universe 1.

Nope, just a single track.  The lights simply fade all the way on and then fade all the way back down.

When you converted from LOR to DMX channels, did you do a manual edit with a text editor or in the channel edit tool?

Channel configuration option.

Torqumada
When you say channel configuration option what are you meaning, to change Lor to Dmx you physically have to open a sequence and change each individual channel to the universe you want, if you are running 48 channels then it would be relatively easy to do, first determine what universe you want to use, then change each channel on each controller to that universe # and remember that Dmx #'s will be 1 thru 48, example contoller #1 would have 1 through 16, controller 2 ould be 17 through 32, and controller 4 would be 33 through 48 all would have the same universe number, hope is helps.

Tools--->Channel Configuration

That's how I have my DMX numbers listed.

Do you have a universe assigned to each channel? and can you post a screen shot of it with every channel listed.

Each channel is in Universe 1.  I'll add the photos soon.

DMX Network 1:  161 channels

That is just a display issue (now fixed) where we try and display the number of channels per network to help diagnose setup issues.   With the fix, it now reads:

DMX Network 1:  58 channels

which is correct as channel 58 is the last one you have in use.    HOWEVER, that was just a display issue.  It doesn't affect the conversion at all.   Thus, are you having a problem with the actual converted file?

I was not having any output through FPP.  Should I try to run it through Xlights?

For some reason, the channels in your file are set to DMX (good), are set for Network 1 (good), but are also using a Unit number other than 1 which isn't something I had seen from DMX setups from LOR yet.   All the DMX LOR files I had seen either didn't use the unit number or had it set to 1 for the entire universe.   Need to adjust this in the xLights code.

I am a bit confused about this, since LOR controllers only have 16 channels per controller.  How else do I designate the channels for DMX?  I'm new to this, but I would think that you have to designate it in some way then just sequentially.
