Thank you very much!

I want to basically be able to share my models with a friend.  Models and Model group information didn't seem to transfer with the xlights xml files.  I see you can export them, and I'll try that.  But was just curious where the data actually resides.

Thank you!

Really odd...   Perspectives are greyed out.  At first it wouldn't save my perspective.  It had my old perspectives listed.  So i deleted that section in the xlights_beffects.xml file.  At that point it saves my default.  However, I can't create different perspectives.

OK, this one is pretty basic, but you did hit the output to lights button, correct?  I've sat there troubleshooting for a while only to discover I forgot that....

My Show Setup / Re: E.131 on multicast

So serious network guy here...  Your choices are pretty simple.
1.  Use Unicast.  As long as you have a good switch, it will isolate your traffic just to the device running the show and the devices running your lights.  Note that at my house, my 3 daughters running all their crap (lots of it broadcast) resulted in stops in my show.  So I had to choose 2.
2.  Create a show specific network.  I use a Falcon Pi Player.  I put the ethernet port from it and from all the San Devices 6804s on the 168.192.2.x network.  They are connected to a single switch which is isolated from everything else.  ON the Falcon Pi, I installed the wireless.  It is on the 192.168.1.x network (my home network).  So now, I can get to the Falcon Pi on the 1.x network to download things.  It then runs the 2.x network isolated for my show.  My daughter's traffic doesn't interfere.

Make sense?

Forgot to mention... Windows 10 64 bit.
Haven't tried again.  May do that tomorrow.

I've tried installing 4 2 25 3x.  It installs, but then starts setup and hangs.  Can't stop it with task manager.  If I uninstal, it leaves the xlights program in the directory.  rebooting and its still stuck in there.  Can't delete the file it shows as in use by the system.

Finally had to go to safe mode, delete it, reboot in regular mode.  Just reinstaed 4 2 24.  It worked great.

Thanks for sharing!

I have a 32 strand by 137 pixel mega tree.  I'm going to use some of your sequence effects on that because some of yours are AWESOME!

Xlights Setup / Re: Render hang

One more piece of info.  We went through it step by step from a clean slate with no other information.
1.  Set Universe 1, Ch 1
Recreated layouts and basic sequence.  Rendered fine.  Played fine.
2.  Changed from Multicast to Unicast.
Rendered fine, played fine.
3.  Changed from Ch 1 to Ch 33 (still in universe 1)
Rendered fine, played fine.
4.  Changed from Universe 1 to Universe 13.  (still on Ch 33)
HANG ON RENDER

So, there was no universe 1-12 defined for any of this.  It appears it is hanging because we are starting with Universe 13.

I'm the "buddy" Laptop B, and here's a little bit more info.  We took the xLIghts directory and Show directory from the working computer (Laptop A).  Pasted into the Laptop B.  Ran the sequence and it worked flawlessly.

Then, we deleted the setup for the networks not being used.  Same hang results.

HELP!!!
I have successfully created my preview and models.  My models are 13 strings.   I can rotate the strings.  I can resize them.  I CANNOT reliably grab them and move them on my preview.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
