I am still having trouble with this :(

I created a "Single Line / Single Color X" for each of the 4 colors in my super strand. Then I made a model group to group all four strands.

Red, Green and Blue work fine. But when I select White, it lights up all of four strands, when it should just turn on White.

Thanks Kevin!! The work around worked for me!!

I also plugged in my old USB mouse and that also fixed it, but I would rather use my Magic Mouse as I am used to it.

That's great to hear as it's a very annoying issue for me.

I wonder if xLights can disable swiping and just accept clicking from a mouse? Either way, I am glad there is a work around.

Are you by chance using a Apple Magic Mouse?  I found my mouse to be overly sensitive if my fingers are touching the sides of the mouse while working on the sequencing grid and it causes it to scroll one way or the other like your video is showing.  Gets pretty frustrating.

One thing I haven't tested yet is if I were to turn off the swipe between pages gesture if that would make a difference?  I believe I witnessed this behavior in one of Dan's early videos of a new feature he was working on.

I am using the Magic Mouse, but I am not swiping when I am dragging the On effect down. But it's possible my other fingers are making it jump.

I have an old USB mouse around here I can try tomorrow.

I experience this a lot. The screen jumps involuntary when adding effects to the timeline. In my video, I am trying to add a simple "On" effect and watch how much the screen jumps around.

Attached are my files incase this is an issue with my sequences and not xLights.

That worked! Thanks Gil!

There seems to be inconsistent behavior when adding effects to a model group. I have a bunch of model groups made for my AC channels, and when I add effects to the group, some of the groups it works fine, and some of the groups it doesn't. I can't find a rhyme or reason why.

Video showing the bug below, and attached are my files.

I have the same question/issue as the OP. 4 color mini trees, and 4 color super strings,  (all AC non-pixel elements) and the only way I can make them work is to use single strands, one for each color, and then they seem to work properly. Makes it a pain in the preview, as you're having to move 4 models per element around as you set up the viewer.

I've tried a ton of different ways using "4 channel RGBW", but must be doing something wrong...cannot get it to work.

What is the proper way to set it up?

I did what rando1957 suggested. I made individual models for each strand "Single Color Red," "Single Color Green," etc. then still in the Layout Tab I create a Model Group for the element, and included the 4 strands. In your example call it "Mini-Trees" and include the 4 models of "Single Color Red," "Single Color Green," etc that you just created.

In the Sequence Tab, add the new "Mini-Tree" model, and when you use the On Effect and change the color to Red, Green, etc, and the trees will change color. You can double click on the model to see the 4 strand below incase you want more than one color on at the same time.

It's worked for me so far.

I have several places on my house that I utilize Superstrings (red, white, blue, green AC lights zip tied together). How do you recommend I make a model for them? Should I make 4 individual "Single Lines," one for each color? Or is there a more efficient way?

Keep in mind, these aren't pixels.

Thanks for the explanation.

So for "Single Color" AC channels, the process to turn them on is to:  create the "On Effect" then change the color either white or same color I defined as my "Single Color" in the model?

I haven't started programming all of my AC channels just get and the above seems a little manual coming from LOR, so I want to make sure I got it right.

I setup several Single Stand models for my AC lights that I still have. Some are strands are Green, some strands are Red, some are Blue and some are White. So I created the Single Strand Model with the "Single Color Green"

I noticed in the Sequencer that when I used "On Effect" on a strand that was Green, it added the effect on the grid as Red. In LOR, it's smart enough to know its a Green strand and plots the effect as Green.

Now, when I previewed my song in House Preview, the "On Effect" on the green strand didn't show up at all. The green strand never turned on. I found out that I had to change the color to green in order to see the green strand show up as green.

Seems like there is a bug here. When selecting "Single Color Green" in Single Strand Model setup it. It should plot the on effect as green and it should show up in House Preview without me having to change it to green.

I exported my simple  Jingle Bells FSEQ sequence to LOR for testing, and I received the attached error when opening the attached Jingle Bells LMS in LOR.

I am running the latest version of both LOR and Xlights.
