My display is still lacking a mega tree :(. I'm I able to use the effects on my other models? Right now I just have 4 leaping arches my garage outlined and 2 coro snowflakes above the garage.

Show Assets / Looking for any Disneyland sequences
« on: November 29, 2016, 10:45:29 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm looking to see if someone can help me out or point me in the right direction for some Disneyland themed sequences. My wife and I just moved from California to Texas last year and we were very big Disneyland fans and always went during the holidays. I want to try and suprise her this year. I'm still new to Xlights and have not mastered sequencing yet and wanted to see if there are any out there that are open to sharing or purchasing as well. I know these sequences take a lot of time and understand that everything is not free.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Show Assets / ChromaFlake and roof line effects needed
« on: December 21, 2015, 02:14:02 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has some effects they have saved that would work well for a snowflake like this and what are some effects that you have used on your roofline using Pixabulbs. Thank you in advance!

I would be very interested and grateful as well? Specifically any cool roof line effects using C9 covers :)

For a roof line model what is the best way to put it into xLights. The way I have my lights set up is output 1 controls the top peak which is on 50 Node C9 Pixel string and then output 2 powers the bottom of the roof line starting from the right and consist of 3 string total one 50 nodes and the other two 25 nodes . So far what I have done is add each model with a straight line then grouped them together. Is this the right way to do this? Here is a picture of what I'm working with.

Thank you everyone for all the advice. I have been playing around with all the animations and have been able to put some nice effects together.

Definitely going to be starting for next years Xmas soon.

Are there any good pre-sales going on for next year right now?

You can always get a Surface Pro 4 :) That's what I use to run xlights.

Anyone know why I can't put effects in past the 30 sec mark. I changed it to 60.000 before putting effects in and every time I get to 30 it stops playing. Trying to put together 5 minutes of changing effects and colors on my roof line that I can put on repeat tonight as I keep learning the SW.

Working with only the roof line is what is killing me. Next year will have to get some mega trees :)

Hi Jim,

Would you have the 30/60 sec animation replaying during the 10 min over and over?

@BabyBear when you say 10 minute block (600 minutes) are you saying you started with a 10 min show and now are at 600 minutes of show? or would you put 15-20 second effects into 10 min time block. So much to learn haha.

Ok so it sounds like its best to make a playlist of multiple animation sequences to play it safe

@Gilrock
Thank you. Do you know the max length I can make a sequence? It sounds like I can just make on large sequence with different effects and let it run on repeat on the scheduler instead of making multiple sequences.

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the world of Pixels and sequencing. This is my first year owning a house and I wanted to get into pixels to just get my feet wet and that way I can build on what I learn from year to year. As of now I'm running an AlphaPix 4 controller with Pixabulbs outlining the front roof line and then two 48 node snowflakes that will be on the front of my patio facing the street.

Being my first year I'm not looking to sequence, just run animations for now. I have been playing around with xlights and wanted to know what you guys would do in my shoes.

If I got this right it looks like I got 30 seconds per sequence for just animations and will need to create multiple sequences to put together a playlist that I can then schedule to play.

Please let me know if I'm missing something or if there is a better way to approach this. Thank you in advance :)

New to the whole word of Pixels and this year I just want to run animations on my roof line. How do I get an animation to run in the scheduler?
