I think Gil's layout is certainly close enough for the Boscoyo version

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: Color importing BGR and not RGB
« on: January 03, 2017, 01:27:20 PM »
I'm glad someone else noticed this.  I've had to swap my Red and Blue values in order to get the right color on import.  So, for red, I have to use 0000FF   and for blue I have to use FF0000.  Exactly opposite of what you would expect.

The Water Cooler / Re: Looking at alternatives to "Really Big Lights"

The lights are going to be waterproof anyway.  You could always just cut a circle out of Coro and hotglue the globe onto the circle.  If you need to get into it to replace a light, you can cut the glue or hit it with a heat gun.

Where would you like us to post new models we create?  I'm sure one specific place would be easier than several different threads/forums/Facebook.

Were the shortened effects all Picture effects?  If so, just drag the last picture in the series out a little further.

The text issue is likely a font difference between what was used in Superstar as the system font and what your computer uses as the default font.

Do you know what you're using for the screw on lid?

I'm looking at 2 different sets of lights from Ray Wu.

    4m DC5v WS2812B LED pixel strip, IP68. 60pcs WS2812B/M with 60pixels:white PCB in silicon tube.

    4m DC5v WS2812B LED pixel strip, IP65. 60pcs WS2812B/M with 60pixels:black PCB in silicon coating.

Are these the two you are looking at?  https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/4m-DC5V-WS2812B-led-pixel-srip-IP68-60pcs-WS2812B-M-with-60pixels-white-PCB-in-silicon/701799_935645023.html

Does he make a WS2811 version?

Okay, so for you guys that have a ferris wheel, could you please post daytime photos showing how you have the spokes connected, the lights run and wired, and how it's all hooked together and controlled?  I would really like to attempt something like this.

I also found this very cool 1/24 scale working model of an actual Ferris Wheel (with lights of course):

The way you did the columns on your home is outstanding!  I'm so jealous.

I always thought it would be really cool to do that scene from Close Encounters.  Kudos to you for actually doing it  :)

General hardware / Re: Which Pixel Controller is Best?
« on: December 26, 2016, 05:52:41 PM »
Sometimes I think you guys argue out of boredom.  I have a Falcon controller and I recommended it.  But I still stand by my opinion that it would be nice if the items in our hobby were always available so that we end users don't have to carry extra backups of everything (even though I do).

Yes, go to:

SETTINGS->AUTO SAVE->(select 30 minutes)

It's probably set to the default of 3 minutes

@msiebri:

Are you running your show out of your computer or did you move the LOR dongle to a Pi?  I would like to see how someone configures the LOR dongle on a Pi.

Do You Need Help? Post it here / Re: Black Areas in Meteors Effect

Think of it this way... without blank areas, there's nothing for the meteors to move through.
