I didn't want to start a new topic when this was what I was looking for. Though I'm still not seeing the vamp plugin in xlights. I used to have it long ago but lost it when the mac went down. started fresh, I have the vamp plugin, also have audacity installed. if I take the 3 files for the plugin, where do I put them? I saw a post online talking about 2 folder locations but they didn't mention the second location.

any help?

gnatman, thanks for sharing.  Any chance you could post the iseq file that the carol of the bells dubstep is referencing?  There appears to be nothing in the sequence.  The song is pretty neat, but I could sure use some help getting a sequence going for it.
Hey sorry, I just saw this post, let me know if you still want that file. It's from LOR and it's going to need some major work I think to match your setup. if I don't respond here... shoot me a message on facebook.

Don't forget to render all, too.

gnatman, grabbed your xml of Pentatonix - Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.  Love your break down and timings!

I was going to add this song to my show this year and you just saved me a ton of time sequencing it, I will just use this and tweak it here and there! Thanks!

post a video/screen share when you tweak it. I always have a hard time making a show look less blinky flashy. I'm trying to less beat related effects.

Megatree looks really nice, I'll have to watch the videos when I get home--work network isn't all that great at times.  I'm also building a pixel megatree this year, just started pushing all the pixels in the Boscoyo strips.  Figure I'll weld some black pipe up and guy it and hope for the best.

Ah the days in Phoenix...we lived in Surprise.  Good ole US Air Force had me there a total of 7 years...  Sometimes miss those gravel yards, but I like the grass here in New Hampshire  :)

I wish I had grass, I hate the rock. With the leaves falling, I can't get all the little flower buds out of it unless I vac /blow it out. Weeds, ya suck... if I had grass I'd just mow over them lol. I'm in east mesa, close to the lakes

Lights on Sterling sounds familiar, do you have a link to your youtube page?  Thanks again for sharing...have my 11 yr old son sequencing as I'm still building the megatree--so a song or two will be great.   :)

I actually don't have a youtube page, I'm not that big/crazy with the lights... This is my second season. I just have a facebook page.

When you open up xLights right there on the Setup tab is the path to where you told the program you wanted your Show directory.  That's where the files are that it's using.

awesome Gil, thanks.. That helps me clear things up. when I was installing things from my virtual windows machine, I wasn't fully sure where those files needed to go. I was placing them in any folder on my mac so I wouldn't lose anything.

Thanks, finally found time to download it and Everything is working as it expected.

Thanks again.

Ok let me see, what's the file structure. I have a feeling I put the non sequence files in random places cuz I didn't know where they belonged lol. So yes you might have bad ones but my xlights is using the correct ones lol. Bet that's what happened. Guess I'll delete those bad boys since they're not doing anything.

Glad the fix was painless. I'll download it tonight or tomorrow.

I'm not sure why but ever since I updated on the latest OSX version, my saves are taking a very long time. I have tried a test on a new sequence with one and several effects and it saved quickly. This appears to be an issue with this one sequence. There was no importing of data, it was all made in XL. I've attached a zip file with the files needed for someone to take a look at. Not sure why this is happening and hopefully someone can find a solution for it.

Thanks guys

PS. when I hit save, it will save and continue to "save" for hours and hours. Judging by the "saving" in the lower left corner of the screen. If I close xlights after a few hours of it "saving" it will ask me if I want to save any changes and I hit yes. So at least it is allowing me to save my changes and such. I just can't save more than once without closing xlights.
