Seems to have been a dimming curve issue.

The Main jacket matrix is set to  1.2  -80

If the secondary group had any dimming applied, those outputs now less than 0 were just off.

I set all the secondary groups to 1.0  and  0 
and it seems to be working now.

I think I found another issue in version 51.

I have a Jacket model which is a 64x64 matrix
I have many groups redefined over the top of same starting channels as the matrix.

 If I drop an effect on Jkt Mtree, a mega tree appears.
Even each part of the snowball fight has been mapped as a separate group so it can be displayed on the matrix.

Everything was working in 40.
Now nothing in 51
Meaning I can not make any changes to my existing sequences because if I rerender I loose my effects.

It will not let me atach my rgbeffects file,  it is 278K

I was working on a sequence and xlights crashed.
Tried to restart lights but just a blink in the taskbar an no xlights.

Two clean restarts and still xlights will not start.
Time to upgrade.
I was running 40 and downloaded and installed 51.

The text effect with the wavy movement option is not working correctly.
It appears to center the text immediately with no movement.

When I open sequences that were created with 40
There are two test effects

One has the text with no color or movement.
the second has no text, but does have the wavy movement and the correct color.

The preview shows the wavy text in the white color.
As soon as you click the correct color on the one with the text, the color changes, but all motion stops.

I did not see any thing in the version log but I hope this has ready been fixed and I just need the latest beta version.

Was the audio playback loop feature removed??
I checked all the menus and did not find it.

Ok I finally got back to this

The first effect is Bars. applied to the Top Axis model posted earlier.
7 white and 1 red  2 repetitions, 1 cycle
direction Right.

Everything is correct except node 1 and 18 which should be red the whole time.

The second effect is Bars. applied to the Top Axis model posted earlier.
4 white and 1 red  2 repetitions, 1 cycle
direction Down.

The effect is perfect, exactly as expected.

So back to the first effect, is there a issue using the same node multiple times in a model?
It only seems to light all occurrences of the node the first time it is encountered, and ignores all later occurrences.
Since nodes 1 and 18 are the axis the effect is rotating on, they need to on during the entire effect.

I have a Moravian Star that has 18 lighted points,
really only 17, 18 is on the bottom and needed for mounting and wires.

Here are my notes on the build

The top is how it is actually put together
Top is #1
2 thru 5 are the top diagonals
6 thru 13 is the center and so on.

I tried the sphere models and only got a circle, so they are not working or I do not know how to use them.

I thought creating 3 different custom models might be the answer.

The first with a vertical axis thru the top and bottom.
The second, a horizontal axis thru the front and back.
The last, a horizontal axis thru the left and right.

I tried a bar and color wash effect, and the lights followed the node numbers, not the node positions in the model.

Its only 18 channels how do I model it so I can create effects?

Plasmadrive mentioned you helped with his dodekahedron.
That is next on my list by the way.  Probably not till next year.

I have several prominent display items that are featured during different songs.

Snowflake, single color 8 channels custom item.
Swags 1 color, Bells 1 color 4 total channels custom item.
Snowmen 1 color, 32 channels custom item.
Megatree 24x25 RGB

I would like to display a representation of an item onto the P10.
The matrix in question is 96x96 so I have some resolution to work with.
The snowflakes and swags maybe could be done with pictures.
But they change quite rapidly, and they would all need to be aligned to the actual items timing marks.
The snowmen would be extremely difficult to manage 32 pictures and the action gets pretty fast during the fight.
The mega tree would be just impossible.
Which is maybe the better question.
How can I display a mega tree on a P10 that is a copy of  the one in the yard?

That only leaves video capture of the preview screen left.
Isolating the single item, capturing, resizing and displaying the movie on the P10.

I have some experience capturing and editing images, none with movies.

Has any one done something like this or have any ideas how it could be done?

I have a previous wave pattern that has a rounded top and bottom.
The center part of the wave is almost vertical.
I call it a whip snake.

Instead of the wave just bouncing up and down,
I find your eye is hooked to a wave top and dragged to the end of the display.

You would just need an additional setting for top and bottom radius.
I tried most all the settings, and can not reproduce the effect.

In HLS we called it a master lighting channel.

I have separate effects on nodes that that I would like to fade up at the model or whole house level
From seconds 1 to 5 there are supposed to be alternating on, offs ramping up in intensity.

Asking the same question a different way. 
How do you decrease the intensity of a P10 panel after you have created all the effects.
Or how would you fade out l channels at the end of a song.

Started converting about a week ago but liking what I am seeing so far.
