Bugs in xLights/Nutcracker / xlights Frozen, unresponsive
« on: December 29, 2021, 07:16:58 PM »
ot sure what's happening... i was messing with xlights earlier and it froze, i did a force quit, then reopened and all i get is the spinning beach ball.  i've deleted, downloaded and reinstalled the latest version and it will not respond.  when i open it up the main xlights screen is visible but nothing works. i am on a macbook pro 16 (previous gen) latest os, i was working in xlights 2021.38 when it froze, now i am on 2021.40 and it is unresponsive.  everything else on my macbook works as s should.  any ideas?  is it possible to get an older version for mac os and see it it works.

Xlights Setup / Re: Arches not working properly

i pulled them an tested individually and they all worked fine.  so i connected 2 and they were good, when i connected a third is when it messed up.  so for now, i split them across different ports.  as long as it works this season, i will deal with it in 2020

Xlights Setup / Arches not working properly
« on: December 07, 2019, 10:20:29 AM »
I started my show last week and most things were ok.  My arches have been giving me grief since before day 1.  The ribbons I was using weren’t reliable ( probably my soldering). All 4 would work, then some would flash and glitch randomly. So I took them out and got new strips from holidaycoro.  My original strips were 25 nodes, the new ones are 40. I updated xlights, rendered everything and now arch 1 and 2 are ok, 3 only lights up correct in the first half then the other half of 3 and all of 4 are just solid blue. They are all running daisy chained on the same port and the universe is big enough for all of them. I’ve moved them around and same results. Any ideas??thanks.

General Software / Re: xSchedule Issue
« on: December 02, 2019, 05:20:04 AM »
an ending song, or ending animation?  or does it matter?  i guess an ending animation bringing everything on for a few seconds then fading out before the time ends on the animation would work?

Xlights Test / Re: String not fully lighting up

it's not an easy swap... they are on a 30' peak on my house.  i tested the lights before i had they hung and they worked... but i tested the strings individually not connected together.  i have another string i am going to connect to the other end and if it works i will have the guys come back and rehang them.

Everyone thanks for the help. I got it working last night.  After all my changes it still wasn't working so I removed that ribbon from arch 1 and put in a new one, after that it worked as it should.

I have the pixel count set to 112 in the output settings.

I sent a message to holidaycoro but haven't heard back yet

Xlights Test / String not fully lighting up
« on: November 18, 2019, 09:09:53 AM »
I have a string of 112 C9 pixels from holidaycoro (50+50+12).  When I run my sequence the string will not light up. If  take the 12 off the other 100 will light normal. If I take the 100 out the 12 will light normal.  I have the model defined as 1 string 112 pixels. Will these not work if over 100 pixels?

They are the same. If they are numbered wrong it’s a mistake.  I will check when I get home later.

they are ribbons... 3 pixels per node right?  so the definition would be 25 pixels, 3 lights per pixel?  or leave it at 1 light per node

just resend data to falcon... see attached.  i see the mini trees total pixel count is 595 which equals all 7 trees  but on the arches it shows 1 and 2 only and it doesn't have 3 and 4.
