if you get p20 panels then the matrix at the expo (30K channels) would have been 4 times bigger. (twice as wide and twice as high)

I think that is what i would want. need to research 20mm panels and compare the price to 10mm.

Not sure that's the one you would want.  Looks like that one is a 2R1G1B config so there is a bunch of quads with 2 reds diagonal with a green and blue on the other corners.  You can actually see the colors in the photos.

Yeah but half the hobby for me is I need to be challenged.  There's no challenge in displaying video on a TV.

I agree and when I proudly showed my wife the panels working via multisynch and displaying faces with voices (using the 10 faces image that I painstakingly constructed via Papagayo etc etc), her comment was along the lines of - cant you just use that plasma TV that we don't use any longer and show a DVD :(

What about this one?

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/P16-Outdoor-RGB-Full-Color-Window-TEXT-LED-Display-Module-320-160mm-20-10-pixels/314096_1634421737.html

I am thinking about it, since is the same price as the P10 indoor.

RoboMello, I don't know of anyone who has tried those with the BBB and Octoscroller.

They used to be 3x the cost so nobody I know has tried them. Are you volunteering?

Note that they have a gasketed back, intended to seal against a non-porous backing sheet. You still need to waterproof the back side somehow.

That item says it is HUB08 which I doubt is compatible with HUB75 which is what FPP with Octoscroller supports.  Another reason it wouldn't work it is P16 but the same physical size as the 32x16 P10 panels so it doesn't have 32 columns and 16 rows which would make it incompatible with the FPP code as well.
