The steps you laid out to import effects is the way I've been doing it with the exception...

Maybe try my steps without the exceptions....

You can see it working in this video:

Please don't get me wrong, I really appreciate your help on this but after looking at the video when you scrolled down the models I paused it on the MegaTreeR and MegaTreeG model. From what I can see on the screen there are no effects for those models. Also when you played the actual video the MegaTree and SpiralTree are not showing any effects working. In the layout the MegaTree is located on the far right and the SpiralTree on the far left of the display.

The TreeLine and all other effects convert over just fine. It's just the effects for the MegaTree, SpiralTree and Arches. Keep in mind the 9 mini-trees are a custom model overlaid three times with white, green and red effects.

If you would be willing I'd like to contact you on Zoom so you could step me through it and I could show you what I'm talking about. The only problem is my dated computer is not set up with a microphone. I'm going to borrow one tomorrow and get it set up on my computer.

Let me know if we can work that out and please understand I really appreciate all the time and effort you have already spent.

Thanks
Kurt

I have an idea, why not join the zoom meeting tonight and after the main presentation there are sessions where you can get additional imput on this situation.

Ok sorry guess I got confused by the other tree R names that looked similar.  There may actually be a problem with the import at the strand level so give us a day or so to look into it.

Will do, Thanks

Also MrChristmas, I'll try to join tonight but I haven't set up my mic on the computer yet. I hope to have that completed sometime tonight. Thanks

Ok Keith committed a fix for next release.  I just tried it out and got your megatree strands to import just fine.  Keep in mind when you commented that they weren't visible when I scrolled down that you will not see the effects at that level.  You have to double click and expand the trees to see the effects at the strand level.

I just installed the latest Release 2018.3. Do I have to re-install the QM Vamp Plugins again?

I then created a new sequence and unfortunately the mega tree effects did not convert over. I believe I read in the release notes that this bug was addressed. I could be wrong. I attached some screenshots so you can see what I'm seeing. Can you give it another try on your end and see if it works for you?

Thanks again for all the help!!

The item in the release notes you highlighted has nothing to do with this.  That was a change I did to fix the format in the clipboard file when you export a model.

And then your second screenshot you are highlighting the tree models because the line beside them is blank.  Well you just don't seem to understand how this is supposed to work.  You need to expand those items so that you can see the strand names.  Then you need to drag over each tree strand from your LOR names into the associated strand name for each tree.  So yes you need to drag over 24 items to be able to import those 3 tree effects.

Yes, you are correct. I had no idea the models expanded in the channel mapping like they do in the sequence. I went ahead and expanded them and dragged the effects over and it worked great. Thank You

Now, what is the best way to get the arches in the sequence? I have 4 arches with 8 channels/strands on each. I used the arch model in the layout but didn't see where you could include the 8 strands/channels like the tree model.

Thanks again.

FYI - I have all my LOR sequences converted over to Xlights and they are all working great.

Thanks to all for all your help!!

Now I need to tackle the adventure of hooking up my AC controllers and see if I can get them to dance with Xligths. Wish me luck.
