Hi Gil and James. Yes, that is correct. Brian has a few morphs that connect globe to tree and visa versa.

That is why I tried to use LOR SE. All the globe effects when exported, are at the bottom of the sequence. Easy to remove the globe stuff

However, in the sup file, it' s mixed in all over. As mentioned, you would have to go through just about
every effect. Then concern would be, if you delete the globe effect that morphed to the tree, would that screw
up the morph visual on the tree.

Gil, my offer still stands to donate this sequence, to help troubleshoot. Brian has a few of these 24x25 with globes. If others have purchased them might help.

Also might help you zero in on what Brian is calling on the LOR SE export, since the tree and globe are seperated
in LOR SE. Then maybe you could see how to seperate them importing to XL4

Anything to help progress.
Best,
David

I've given Gil all of my files, so he may not need your sequences.

Thanks James. Hope it will help Gil etal to come up with a solution.

I do have a plan B, prefer not to utilize it if I don't need too.

Best,
David

I'm confident we can get a data layer to work, if all else fails.

FYI, one of the sequences was rock ye merry for 360 degree 24x25 pixel tree with globe, only difference between mine and Brians is mine is dmx and I don't fold.

You might need to just stick with importing those complex visualization sequences as a data layer.  I mean odds are you aren't going to want to manually alter those thousands of effects anyways.  I did find a couple things  that improved the import but part of the problem is that program is allowing morph definitions that go beyond the boundaries of the tree.  It has a canvas that's twice as big to allow you to draw morphs that wrap.  It's just different mechanics from the way we do things internally so I'm not sure I can come up with a good way to represent those morphs that cross that wrap boundary.

It would help if the SuperStar sequences would actually play correctly in SuperStar.  Something is screwed up about that program.   I've seen it where Phrog gives me a sequence and a screenshot of what it looks like and I open up the same sequence and the grid is laid out completely different.  The old 12x50 tree stuff works fine but the visualization stuff is done in a typical LOR backwards fashion.

Ok I finally got it playing right by installing the beta version.  I thought I had installed it yesterday but I was doing 4 things at once and when it popped up a window asking question about shutting something down I thought it was asking if I wanted to reboot so I hit cancel so I guess it didn't install.  I've paid for a 24CCR version also and I'm supposed to be able to get a free upgrade to 40ccrs but I haven't figured out how to make that happen.  When I check my license it says I'm a 40ccr user.

To get the free upgrade you just re-register the software.

Well installing the beta has totally broken my ability to run the LOR Sequence Editor.  It complains that the user path is invalid and then that my installation is broken.

Hi Gil, when you get LOR4 installed correctly, it should automatically give you the license for 40CCR.

I had a hell of a time when I install the beta.  I tried to install it in another directory, as I was doing for XL4.

No can do.  Unlike XL4 and XL3.x were you can keep them separate. on LOR 4 beta, it's all or nothing.

You can't have version 3.x in one folder and install the beta in another.  I had a big mess when I tried that.

Have since gone back to LOR 3.12, all is stable.  That might be a part of my issues, since I probably don't have the latest SS updates.

DevMike, walked me through getting my 3.12 restored and stable. Guess I better try 4 again. MIght help with the XL4 stuff as well?

If I get my effects working correctly in XL4, might not use LOR at all this year. You guys have such a kick ass program!  I'm still at a loss on how to do some things as of yet. But will eventually get them figured out.

Looking for another all in one tutorial from Sean. :-)

Best,
David
