Model Groups in 4.0.16 - 4.0.18
« on: April 10, 2015, 09:23:48 PM »
Be careful working with your Model Groups.  A user alerted me that they weren't working right and one of his models got deleted.  I found that when we added sorting to the list boxes we weren't keeping track of the selected item properly when adding items to the list so it can cause you to overwrite the wrong group if you hit Update Model.  After you hit Add Model you need to select the New Model name up in the list or it can overwrite an existing model at the bottom of the list.

The fix is checked in and will be in 4.0.19.

I found that out last night and had to redo them. Thank God its xlights and not LOR. It didn't take long to fix.

Well I tend to cut the LOR guys more slack than most people cause I can appreciate the differences between putting out freeware like us and delivering a paid for product that needs to be reviewed and tested before given out to customers.  We make a mistake we can just laugh and fix it and say sorry you got what ya paid for.  They mess up and they have angry paying customers.  I can tell you if it were up to me we wouldn't release things so fast cause I don't like putting anything out with mistakes.  The reason I'm working on this was because of being fed up with certain sequencers especially one in particular that crashed a lot so the last thing I want is to put out a sequencer that ends up with the same "crashes all the time" reputation.
