A faces model to share??- anyone?
« on: April 18, 2015, 05:19:53 PM »
I am learning about faces and wonder if someone has a model they can share to help me advance.
I promise I will look after it as if it where my own. ;)

Hi Dennis,
I have been learning about and have used faces this year to seq.

Do you want Coro type faces that you use in Papagayo to then import or faces for a matrix ?

Hi,
Give me a Couple of days and I will post details as I have just done that .
I used Papagayo to seq the faces to the music, then used the Papagayo tab to import the pgo files into xlights, using 10 face images.
But I am still learning as I go.

Hi Gerry. Work is manic, I've been travelling the North Island lately. Now I am packing everything away ready for moving in about 3 weeks.
I need to start on faces from scratch as I have not progressed in that area at all.
I have bought some LOR files to trial but I need to have a real close look as there are a lot of lip overlaps that I don't like and would be a pain to correct manually.
I would welcome anything you have to share for the learning.

Sorry read your second part properly, had a man-look first (OK ladies settle down - we know it's true just don't often admit it).
I am doing faces on my trees as well as Coro trees/snowman.

Now I wonder, I know you can make a mp4 of your faces... wouldn't it be cool if you could do it in reverse! Take a simple mp4 and have it output to NC... and then to your matrix! This would be cool to do the center pumpkin on this vid;

Hi,

I have attached a write-up on using the Papagayo tab for Coro faces . I will add to this on creating a video in a day or so.

I am also attaching the faces I used (mouths).

I will be building my faces using Neon Flex that I finally received the correct flex from China after several months of working with Ray. .. but I digress.

Mr Christmas2000 has created a very detailed pfd on how to use Papagayo - which is posted on the xLights Releases page which also has the Papagayo software version to be downloaded.

The 'mouths' directory that I have attached comes with that PG software. I duplicated some of the faces for the different positions .

I also watched two of Sean's videos posted on vimeo on how to do what I have described. I will locate those and post links.

Does anyone have the singing Christmas tree in a custom model that they would share?  I can map the channels to the ones I use, just need the custom model.  All my sequences for the trees are imported from lor.  Thanks

UPDATE: found one that dkulp shared last November. Should have looked first
