Muliple SPI signals on same cable
« on: May 18, 2015, 07:18:27 AM »
Since I have been mostly hanging around here on Nutcracker getting educated here is a question.
Does anyone have experience on having multiple SPI signals in the same cable?
I'm using xLights ver 4.0.30 and SanDevices E6804s.
I'm trying to have 2 ports output on a E6804 on the same 6 pair cable to the pixel strings about 20 feet distance from the E6804.
Both stings are remote powered and have checked the grounding.
The only E6804 output is Dta and Ground wires.

When I unplug one of the outputs the other one works just fine.
And if I connect using two separate cable both port work just fine.

The question is can multiple SPI signals be connected over a multiple pair cable or will they cause crosstalk?
Thanks.
