converting
« on: May 23, 2015, 08:44:37 AM »
I am trying to convert a vixen 2.1 sequence to xlights. I start the conversion and that is as far as it goes.
Attached are my set up and the screen shot of the conversion. This snip is after about 30 minutes of waiting.
Using xlights 4.00.32
Thanks
Terry

I think it's broken. It did the same for me. I know it used to work.

Thank You  for the reply. I am sure when Sean gets a minute it will be good to go.

You may try the latest version, I think there was some work done on the conversion.

The new version allows you to import the Vixen file into actual effects but Dan told me he used the same conversion code as the Convert tab so if you file isn't converting we may need you to post it somewhere that we can download to try to find the problem.  I think there is a .pro file needed.

Also there was someone with a Vixen problem within the past couple weeks and I cannot find where we were talking since I've had communications on 4 forums, facebook, and direct emails so you may want to remind me who you were if there was a file I was supposed to look at.

Gil,
I did not post a file for you to look at. I was trying to convert a vixen file to xlights. Not sure what the problem is. I have my profile in the directory.

I removed xlights and downloaded a different version (4.0.10) I could convert the sequence but here is a shot of the error It. No channels defined. The sequence has 264 channels defined but will not show up in convert. Surley I am doing something wrong here. On the old 3.xxx there was no problem. Any suggestions

Where would be a good place to try to post the sequence file?

Think I have it figured out. May have had the wrong or corrupt profile.

Your personal server or dropbox is a good place. ;)
