model on a model question
« on: May 25, 2015, 05:42:14 PM »
I have a 12 spoke model that hangs 30 feet or so high in my display i set it as a matrix and looks great my question is I would like for it to light as a Bethlehem Star meaning only certain pixels come on the spokes to reveal a star.
is this possible.
Thanks Robin

You can create a custom model that duplicates the needed pixels.

Hi Jon, did you get this sorted?

If not then if you take your original Excel file with your custom layout the put a 0 or just delete the numbers you don't want until you get the shape. Then only those ones should turn on in your new model. You can the place one model over top of the other in your layout and you should be good to go.

you really need to inclue a picture with the number of lights in each spoke. then describe what you want the effect to look like.

i am guessing you would make multiple custom models. maybe one with the odd spokes, one with the even .etc. You can then put effects on both of those and the result would be a layered display.
