Importing my old pixel tree into a new sequence
« on: June 10, 2015, 02:55:20 PM »
I have successfully drawn out all 16static elements in Xlights, I can make a new sequence and bring in my LMS file from last year, I can not find a way to import my pixel tree from last year with all of the effects that went with it, what am I missing? I go to import and select my pixel tree, then I select the XML file from last year labeled 2014 seq, nothing seems to be happening.

The answer was once you pick the XML file, then use the drop down to pick the model you want to import FROM.

On the right side of the import window is a Channel column. In the blank column, double click and hidden drop-down menu will appear. It is there, where you choose the destination model for import.

I'll open a request to label these columns with slightly more intuitive detail.

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.

For xLights -> xLights, you could just open up the old sequence in a separate window and copy from one and paste into the other.
