Dave Pitts F16v2 board is incredible
I am new to RGB Lighting and had purchased another controller but it has some serious firmware issues. I sent a personal message to Dave Pitts telling him about my problem and he and I really tried to solve the issues to no avail. Dave said if I would pay for shipping he would send me a beta board to play with.
This has been the best thing ever. This controller has the capability to tell each plug what pixels it is to control and how many. My problem is I had built some Dalek Mini Trees and wanted to test them with an xlights effects that required the trees to be strung together to keep the channel numbers going consecutive so I wanted to put each tree on a single plug rather than string them together just to see the effects working. Dave's controller allowed me to program plugs with each beginning and channel count so I could use separate plugs to make the display work, even though this will not be the way the display will be set up, I just didn't want to take the time to solder plugs coming off of the trees at this point in time and have to do power injection to make them work like they would in the final display. It worked beautifully where as the other controller had a hang up after 170 pixels and would not address the remaining channels above 512.
If you have any doubts about getting this controller from Dave get rid of them, you will be glad you purchased his controller. I am definitely purchasing this controller for my displays with no regrets. Virtual Strings will be an even added bonus.
