My backyard design is year round with all pixels.
My objective is to have the pixels turned on (no flashing) to different colors for different occasions from about 7PM to 10PM by schedule using xLights.

Design is:
E6804s and xLights
150’ fence line with 400 pixels
Four(4) vertical pillars with 100 pixels each.
Then at Xmas I would like a music show to flash the lights.

Currently I am manually using Sandevices E6804s “Test Pattern” settings to statically set the Pixels colors from 7PM to 10PM with a AC on timer to the power supplies.
The test patterns work great but have limited selections.
I’m new at using xLights and have completed a very crude xmas show. Previous LOR user.

Is there a way for xLights sequencer by schedule to statically turn on by model (I have 20 models in my layout) pixel colors and/or effects without music?
Since I’m new to xLights I hope I’m asking for help using the right terminology.

Just create an animation sequence instead of a musical sequence.  During the holiday season I turn off my yard lights that stay on all night, but wanted something to keep a little light in the yard after the show ends.  I turn all my eaves on a dimmed down green and leave them on all night.  You just need to make sure it stays thru the midnight crossover.  That is supposed to be fixed soon, but I just made a schedule that ran from the time my show ended until midnight and had another schedule entry for midnight to 6am.  Easy and worked great.

File - New Sequence.  Select "Musical Sequence" or "Animation" in the pop up window.

To change a sequence from one to the other...

Settings - Sequence Settings.  Change the "Sequence Type" from the drop down to what you want.  Just a note, if you change the sequence duration in a animation sequence you may need to save then reopen the file again for the sequencing grid to update and playback properly.

I had opened setting but just didn't see that option. thanks It did take away the music.
The timing marks are still there and the only way to turn the lights on is to hit the play button and they still go to the timing marks not static on.  You can tell I'm new at using xLights.
Any more help is appreciated.

To make the lights be 'static on' you would have to create a non musical sequence that covers the time period that you want the lights to be on.

Then you would simply put a single effect on your lights model like color wash with your desired color across the whole time period of the sequence.

Then in the xLights scheduler setup a schedule to run that sequence every night, 7 days a week, for how ever long you wold like it to turn the lights on.

Since that would essentially tie up a computer I would look at getting a Pi computer, about $50 to setup and let that be your scheduling computer to run the above sequence.

You can find more information about the Pi program and hardware over on Falcon.com.
